Africa and Ignorance

         Africa's nearly 128 million school-aged children, 17 million will never attend school. Even more shocking is that another 37 million African children will learn very little, they will not be much better off then the non attending kids.  Africa's development is poor and cannot afford such asset's as the privilege of attending school and receiving a good founded education.  Just like in Oedipus time the education system wasn't the best.  There are seven countries in which 40 percent or more of children do not meet a minimum standard of learning by grades 4 or 5. In countries such as Ethiopia, Nigeria and Zambia, over half of in-school students are not learning basic skills by the end of primary school. Most African kids don't get the proper education they deserve.  There Economy is poor and cannot support education needs as much as they want to.
